It's hard to do but you need some patience and creativity. Maybe, among of us reads a Manga, and you see cool drawings of the characters there. Yeah, I'm talking about on how to draw a Manga Character. First of all, What is a Manga? A Manga is a comic drawn in Japanese style of art. It is very popular nowadays. Next How to draw a Manga Character? Well, as I said earlier it's bit hard to do. By the way, these are the steps to follow:
First, Prepare you materials. This is the most important. You must have them. Sharpen your pencil. You have to sharpen your pencil for better results. Prepare an illustration board or bond paper where you will draw. Get an eraser. You must have this for you to erase your mistakes. Marker or something that has a permanent ink. You will use this when you finished drawing using the pencil. If you choose to use the computer it is fine. For me, I have some difficulties in my hand when I use mouse for drawing.
Second, start with the face shape/ The first step in drawing the Manga Character. Using the pencil, draw an oval shape or a circle. It depends on the face shape of the character. Draw a vertical line down the center. Then, a horizontal line also at the center. The two lines you have draw looks like a cross. Divide the space below, then divide also the space you divided earlier. This will make a two horizontal lines below the center horizontal line, it's for the mouth and the chin.
Third step, the eyes. These are the most important feature of Anime and Manga Characters. On the center horizontal line between the vertical line, draw a line that curves upward. One from the left and one from the right and make it thicker. Lightly draw a diagonal lines pointing down starting at the edges from the top. This can make help to get easier in drawing the lower part of the eye. Draw the lower part of the eye with a thicker part at the corner. Then, you may copy the eye details of the character you are drawing.
Fourth step, the ears, nose and the mouth. The nose is the center part of the face. So, draw the shape of the nose of the character you wanted down the center line (because, their noses are different). Back to the top horizontal lines outside the face, draw the ears on the both sides. On the lowest line, draw the mouth. You can just simply draw a curve line downward. It always depends on his/her expression.
Fifth step, the hair. This is the hardest thing to draw. Draw the eyebrows of the character. Next draw his/her bangs. It always depends on the character you are drawing. Then, the hair itself. If the hair is straight, obviously you will draw a straight line. And if it is curly, draw a wavy line.
Last step, the finishing touches. Of course, you have to draw the neck. You can also add the type of clothing he/she wears. Then, you are going to use your marking pen now, for the lines and details you will need. Then, the eraser for erasing the excessive lines you drew earlier. You can add color. If you wanted to.
After all, finishing your work is the happiest part here. As I said earlier, you have to be patient, creative and passionate about it.
